Gene, Brianna and Micah had me smiling behind the camera as I captured their sweet little family in a field next to our houses. When we lived at Fort Stewart, they lived directly behind us and my first memory of them was when George was away training, here I was in our back yard trying to start the lawn mower… failing miserably. Gene came out and helped me get it started and showed me such kindness and understanding. There aren’t many words to explain the bond between military families, but generosity is the first one that comes to mind. Their sweet dog would often find it’s way under their fence and I would often get her back into their back yard for them. We all took care of one another and helped each other out.

Gene and Brianna came to me last year for anniversary pictures and during our session, took a moment to honor their sweet daughter Finley who had passed away. Seeing them overcome such a trying time in their marriage was so moving. They celebrated bringing their sweet baby Micah into the world last year and it was a honor to capture this special time in their lives. Everything was perfect, from the light, the weather, and especially Micahs sweet little face.
