A Beautiful Spring Wedding at Coley Hall at The Liberty

Dori and Zach’s beautiful spring wedding at Coley Hall at The Liberty had me smiling from ear to ear, crying throughout the day, laughing and so full of joy. When Dori inquired with me back in December we instantly clicked. What was supposed to be a quick phone consultation, turned into nearly an hour of just chatting and laughing, and eventually evolved into a wonderful friendship. Their wedding was a beautiful celebration of two souls who had longed for one another and prayed for one another. Their love is a true testament of Gods faithfulness in our lives.

During her matron-of-honor speech, Carlee said something that stuck with me and on the ride home from the wedding it just lit a fire in my heart and reminded me of just how good God is.

“A few years ago, Dori and I were on one of our weekly chats, and she just wasn’t her usually carefree, happy Dori. She had a great job, awesome house and amazing friends but something was missing: and that was someone to share it all with. That day, I committed to praying specifically for Dori’s husband & I sent her a note of encouragement in the mail. I took a picture of the note because deep in my heart I knew we’d all be sitting here one day celebrating the man and love many of us had been praying for. An excerpt from the letter dated September 2015: ‘The Lord already knows the exact hour and minute that you are going to meet your husband. He’s got this, D! Be specific in your prayers and tell God your desires. You are going to know its right when you two meet.’

Fast forward to  February 2017
I got a phone call from Dori and the first thing she said was, “Well… I’ve met someone and it’s either going to end with a husband or a heartbreak.” Naturally, my first question was “Well when do I get to meet him?!” My husband and I met Zach a few months later when he and Dori came to see us for the weekend. While at dinner, when Dori left the table Zach immediately grabbed my arm and said “Hey… I’m crazy about your friend.” In that second I knew this could be the one we’d been praying for.”
