A Classic Fall Wedding at Highgrove Estate
When we first found out that we would be relocating back to North Carolina, one of the first goals of mine was to be able to shoot at Highgrove Estate. When Skyler first inquired with me, I was so happy to learn that not only did this bride and I instantly click (she is seriously just a wonderful person to talk to and be around) but my heart also did a little dance when I learned that she would be getting married at Highgrove.
This venue did not disappoint. A stunning Southern Estate with beautiful chandeliers, an amazing Grand Ballroom, natural light, stunning backdrops, and so much charm making it every photographers dream-come-true! Skyler and Blake put so much work into everything and it was evident on this day. It all came together so beautifully and it was truly just the best day ever!
One of my favorite parts about their wedding day was the Ceremony.
It was personal, intimate, and genuine. Lots of tears were shed from the wedding party, guests, and ahem… vendor team during the exchange of the vows they wrote one another. A really sweet ritual to confirm their unity was the Wine Box Ceremony. A bottle of a wine that they chose together, along with a letter they each had written to one another was placed in a wooden box. This box is to remain locked until their first anniversary where they will share the bottle of wine and finally read their love letter from each other. Originally Skyler and Blake had planned to get married under the new Cedar Ceremony Pergola (you will see some stunning portraits throughout this blog post that we did there,) however the weather did not cooperate with this plan. The wonderful staff at Highgrove created the most wonderful back-up ceremony setting! It’s a little hypocritical of me to say that, the pictures do not even do it justice. Just wait until you see this beautiful setup. I hope you all enjoy some of my favorites from Mr. & Mrs. Breunle’s big day.
Skyler and Blake,
it was such an honor to get to know you two, your love and to celebrate with you and your dearest family and friends. Enjoy the Dominican Republic and some much-needed warmth and sunshine!
