A Classic Winter Wedding at The Carolina Barn
Something that always brings a smile to my face, is when I receive an inquiry and I recognize the name. Sarah inquired with me back in May and I instantly remembered her. She and I had attended a military ball at NC State (many, many years ago!) and I am pretty sure she let me borrow a t-shirt to go out to dinner afterward (who actually enjoys the food at a military ball anyway?) It was so nice to catch up with her on the phone and to hear all the great things she had to say about Kainen. When she mentioned that her wedding would be held at The Carolina Barn, I did a little happy dance. This beautiful venue is located about 6 miles from our home and I had been DYING to shoot there. When we met up for their engagement session back in November, I had such a fun time exploring downtown Fayetteville with the two of them and I really loved that, growing up here, Sarah wanted to incorporate that into their session. Also, Sarah’s adorable black booties she was wearing were apparently too small for her, so I walked away from this engagement session with a brand-new pair of shoes. Talk about a win-win! Sharon and I had such a fun time with these two and their family and friends on their wedding day. I hope you all enjoy this blog post featuring some of my favorite images from their special day.

The pictures are so beautiful. I can certainly see why Sarah chose you as her photographer. I’ll always regret that we couldn’t attend the wedding.
