Bart and Kelly were living abroad (in ICELAND!) throughout their entire wedding planning process and we instantly bonded over our Skype consultation. One amazing thing in common that we shared was our wedding date! George and I celebrated 6 years on October 6th, while Kelly and Bart began the start of the rest of their lives together.

Bart and Kelly met in 2008, their freshmen year at Savannah College of Art and Design a mutual friend (who was a groomsman in their wedding.) Bart proposed in September of 2016 at their favorite neighborhood spot in New York – Fort Tryon Park.

“We took this walk every Sunday to watch the sunset and get ready for the week ahead, that evening we had the park to ourselves and Bart said the sweetest things and asked the best question!” Kelly of course said “YES!”

Their ceremony was held in Pulaski Square – which is where they had both lived for several years during their time in Savannah. As if that isn’t cute enough, they had the apartment that they both lived in, in the background of their ceremony. A beautiful combination of elegant and casual, with crisp whites and shades of green.

Their reception was held at Soho South Cafe. They wanted somewhere with a great intimate and unique space, that they could make their own.

Planning a wedding from across the world of course had its challenges, and when asked, “What is ONE word of advice that you would give to a future bride planning her wedding?” Kelly answered “Patience.”
